Barca somehow draws players that lack the athlete mentality. Araujo wants to remain here cause of comfortzone. Doesn’t want to challenge himself. He HaS hIs FrIeNdS hErE.

He's a mental wreck, who's only thought when having the ball is, not to make a mistake. He'll get cameo appearances until the end of the season, if no bad injury crisis gonna haunt our defense, but that's about it I expect.

Nah. He’s always been like that. Overestimating his abilities on the ball. First it was the long passes that at times ended up in opponent feet.

But I see his first touch was horrible so had to go wide to correct.

He was down really bad,you can't get there fast.

It will take time to build up confidence back. But that confidence crumbles fast in big games now that the spotlight is on him to be great Barca defender. It was easy when he was nobody at the start under Koeman and Xavi. The first game of big importance in years for Barca - CL PSG return leg, brainless foul early on in the game. Knowing what we know now, he surely fell into a hole. Then got injured and here we are this season, I was expecting Araujo to step up. Instead in the first big game of the season he let the whole team down against Chelsea.

It's a developing pattern, to get sent off in big games and I don't count El Clasico in this, because those are played on regular 4-5 times a season. In addition to that our opponents will know Araujo is easy to provoke with the depressed stories now.
