it's not so much the skillset with the ball, it's more his IQ and his positioning for the offside traps.

Here's hoping becoming a starter and having proper preseason can make a difference to help him improve on those things.

The fact is Barca's offside trap is rough for defenders and even the best won't survive the season without making handful of clear mistakes with it. Just gotta hope Araujo dominates in areas where he is good at so he can have some positive impact on the team.

We just put a lot of pressure on Araujo and Christensen to remain healthy and perform well. Christensen is usually good but Araujo who knows.

Not necessarily, but i believe in Flicks ability to guide players into better versions of themselves. Not that he would suddenly become prime Pique, but definitely can curtail some of his shortcomings and eliminate outright flaws like raising hand for offside and loose focus. I'm certain Flick is furious about shit like that.

The issue with Araujo loosing his head/focus is not something Flick could fix
It's not something he can train for
This kind of players can be world class for 15 games then give you the middle finger in a CL quarter final game final and here goes your season to the trash bin.
