4 - Ronald Araújo

Oh dear, he's staying isn't he? We have too deal with him while we deal with Martin and terrorist - 3 HUGE liabilities, they can't even come close to the bench for Flick to get some stupid idea.

Two surprise signings: in defense

Beyond these two "star" signings (Joan Garcia and Luis Diaz), Deco does not rule out two more moves , although everything will depend on possible exits. One of the big unknowns revolves around Ronald Araujo . The Uruguayan center has received interest from some of the big European clubs -especially from the Premier League and Bayern-, and if a significant offer arrives, Barça would seriously consider his transfer for economic reasons. In this case, Deco already has in his closet the signing of a top-level center who can replace him with guarantees.

Although no specific names have been leaked, the club's offices are studying young profiles with projection and experience in the Champions League, capable of quickly adapting to the Barça style.
It would not be a simple operation, but the stage is set.
In any case, Deco has made it clear that there will be no large outlays without prior sales and that all moves will be coordinated with Flick, who has already made his priorities for the new season clear. The German coach wants a more physical, intense and versatile team, and all signings will be in line with this.

Deco's plan is underway: two sure signings, two possible surprises , and a clear idea of how to rebuild Barça without compromising its economic sustainability. Everything will depend on the coming days, but the market moves and Barça, this time, wants to be prepared.

I think if true, then this validates that Deco is approaching the market well and realistically. For the forum hivemind, who were discussing these signings yesterdays.

Yes but that will be tougher playing in Segunda RFEF imo. Club might not think there is much difference between 3rd and 4th tier but for the players that's not exactly true.

Would rather look to get someone like Jonathan Soriano who would help us get promoted. We have enough of talents already and need more experienced players for the kids to lean on. Most of those type of signings like Urena, Barbera and Godoy didn't produce much this season because of injuries.

Wasn't talking about the striker position specifically. My point was about signing more proven players. If possible would bring 3-4 21-22 yo players who have done well in Primera RFEF (or potentially even on a higher level) for a season or two for every line (defense, midfield, attack) and then Belletti can decide which youngsters (Juvenil A players) he's already worked with this season he'll trust the most and at which positions he'll prefer players with more experience.

Yea what Messi said, he clearly has a plan or the team behind him does, it's just a matter of do we have the money to make the right signings.

I've been said the most important positions to reinforce this summer is

GK
ST/LF
DM

Those 3 as starters if we get the right players only ANOTHER araujo mistake can stop us lol.

The Back up LB, we all know why.

Signing a CB was always down to market opportunity, if we sell araujo, a CB can and 100% should be signed.

Last season he proved the forum wrong, most didn't want olmo including myself and wanted a DM, but he knew the club was 3 players deep in that position.

Summarize he clearly knows what he's doing and were needs to be strengthen, it's just about the finances.

We usually try that, but the picks were off. Think we missed maturity in midfield last season, wheras previous seasons we had Matheus Pereira and even De la Galaretta who are solid LaLiga2 and LaLiga players these days.

Usually one on each line. Mbacke was that in the defense but we saw how poor his level was without Marquez. Perhaps due to injury return too.

DaCosta was OK to be fair but poor decision making and better to hand over to Virgili now if he stays at Atletic.

Coaching done the most damage though. Hopefully Belletti and he working closer with Flick as reported works out much better.
