Fort was never that good against fairly quick players even against players of his own age.

I don't get why they even converted him as RB from his original CB position. He just looks unnatural there.

He doesn't belong to that level. He can look decent against favourable conditions, when he doesn't face good opponents and the team is good around him. But that can be said about almost the entire Barca B talents.

He wasn't "good" in any minutes he was given. At most he was average. When he gave him a chance against Las Palmas he defended like a 10 year old kid to lose us the game when we were on track to comeback.

All whilst not playing at the proper home stadium, signing only one real player with registration issues and loads of academy players.

Pablo Torre has played without any regularity and has still been able to contribute.
Lacking minutes is not a valid excuse for looking like an amateur.
Guys like Fort and Martin as well for what it's worth just don't belong at a top club even as rotational players.

It's not about form, regularity, cohesion or anything like that.

They are just not good enough.

If you're desperate for some youth players to be useful in the future then your best bets are Jofre Torrents and Landry Farre. Not sure if they'll be starter material, but they seem talented enough to be able to contribute for the first team in a year or two.

Some guys are just not good enough, they wouldn't be anywhere near our first team if we weren't in financial crisis. It's as simple as that. Guys like Fort, Martin, MATS, Torre, Fati, Victor, Pena... If we get any money for those we should take it and run with it but probably most of them will be a bench option for another year, maybe a loan and then they'll leave for free and find their true level somewhere in Getafe if they are lucky.

We won the Copa and are in position to possibly win the CL and league yet you still talk shit about the coach. That's not even including the fact that Flickball is infinitely, INFINITELY more entertaining than that absolute dogshit we had to witness under Xavi.

As I made perfectly clear, Martin is not Barca material. I know this. We ALL know this, but if Flick is purposely choosing Martin over Fort, despite him being shit, then I trust Flick in his obvious evaluation that Fort has been even worse in training. After what he's done with the rest of the squad (almost EVERY player playing way better than last season, including all the new youth he brought in) I have faith that he would know how to choose best from Martin or Fort.
