No. What exactly would we benefit from that trade? We need someone to compete with Balde not replace him. I like Mendes and he is clearly is a more developed/productive player but he has missed double the games than Balde over last 2+ seasons. And when he would inevitably get injured we would have to play Martin again.

Didn’t have a feeling Mendes is an injury prone player. Looked up and sure, suffered a hamstring injury that kept him out for a year but since coming back in February 2024 hasn’t missed a game. I’d argue that the jury is still out.

I think that the FBs are Barca’s biggest issue and an upgrade over Balde would be huge for the team.

He doesn’t know how to defend near box with back to goal. When has he ever done that well? Same with defending incoming forward crosses.
