28 - Roony Bardghji

Truth
I suppose he'll take the #19, looking forward to seeing him play - he really has something special IMHO

This is a player who can make a significant impact straight away

Hopefully he'll get enough minutes to show his worth. Playing the same position as Yamal won't be exactly in his favor. But he knew that before choosing Barca ahead of other offers. After watching his documentary a few weeks ago I think he has the right mentality. If he wants to become the best player in the world he should not be affraid to compete against the best.

Toni, Dro, Diarra are also eyeing that spot, with Fermin and Olmo there.
Obviously none are as good as Lamine, but he might not be able to even take it for the B team

Damn sight easier to beat Olmo/Fermin/Dro/Diarra/Toni/Guille for that spot than Lamine for that RW spot though.

Olmo and Fermin haven't managed to cement the 10 down yet. One for injuries, the other consistency. Club will move one on in a season or two I reckon as both won't be happy not starting forever.

That's where the window is, for all the names listed.

I mean, I don't expect Roony to be a starter here in either position, so beating Lamine vs Olmo is a mute point IMHO.
It is the backup position that he should be eyeing.

I disagree.

One had 4500 minutes last season. The other 1900.

If you are targeting being a backup, then you might as well leave already.

Dro can easily fit in at LW, maybe Diarra too. I know he's left footed but so is Raphinha. But as you said chances for any of those kids to stick around long term are better at AM or LW than RW. Unless Lamine will go in full Hustle hard mode chasing broads rather than goals.

I think Fermin will be sold next year when we should finally be back to 1:1 (we say that every summer though) and could actually use that money for a new CB and/or striker. Selling him over Olmo makes more sense from a pure FFP perspective but let's wait and see how both of them will do this season before making any decisions.

Think he has got what it takes to be a backup for Lamine. The jury is out if he can bring it out.

Now if he wants to stay in this team for longer, he has to develop his AM skills. Just being a Yamal backup wont do
