Positive thing is he won't have to be forced into the XI. On paper I believe him, Pedri, Frenkie rotating at CM with Casado would be great.

Casado should be tried at RB as backup to Kounde. Then we could sign a LB.

I'm afraid he won't get enough minutes to develop. You should add Gavi to that list and Eric could get some minutes instead of Bernal also. Sooner or later we will have to sell one of midfielders if Bernal is the real deal. The problem won't be next season but seasons after that, all our midfielders are young.

Barca stacked in midfield nothing new.

Nothing is wrong with him being slowly integrated over 2-3 years TBH, we've gotten spoiled and the players themselves with not just the Yamal's and Cubarsi, but the balde's and gavi's.

If he's generational he'll be too good to deny a spot, if he's just a brilliant prospective, we can take out time with him for once.

The problem will be if he won't be better than Casado, Gavi and Eric, I don't know how he could develop if he won't be. It looks like Barca B is a closed chapter for him (but it shouldn't IMO, he's just 17). If he'll be balling like Pau or Yamal then it's no problem but it's hard to expect that at that age after an injury like this.

As much as like Bernal for the future.. folk are remembering with rose tinted glasses how he good he was in these games.

Clearly still learning and on the ball in those three games was not as good as Garcia, Casado on the ball or anywhere close to FDJ.

But that is expected... to claim he has been best DM this season in those x3 games. No chance. FDJ/Casado have been better clearly.

Needs to be given time to learn and step up.

Great problem to have and as said many times Barca have the best group of midfielders going of any club.

Bernal definitely outperformed Casado in his first three games. Casado outperforming him on the ball is simply not true. @JamDav1982

Bernal seemed like a Flick fav, I think he will have plenty of minutes if he recovers properly. I also think he has a higher ceiling compared to the likes of Casado and Gavi. That 2007 generation is just built different.

We seen with Stefan Bajcetic that it is no easy process returning from a long term injury. He took over 6 months to get going again. The Salzburg loan was too much for him and only now is he get his groove at lowly Las Palmas.

The Gavi route is best. Place low expectation and let talent shine through when ready. Casado, Frenkie, Pedri and Eric to give ease.

Berna in that small sample was not moving ball forward as well as likes of Casado let alone FDJ.. and I really rate Bernal.

But it is a small sample a young player did well in now folk are blowing up to be better than was at that moment across those games.
