Lol this debate is funny as hell.
I especially like the people who always try to be reasonable in every debate, sometimes being reasonable is not required.
Firstly none of these keepers are half as good as Valdez, PERIOD.
He made mistakes, they made mistakes, but IMPORTANTLY he MADE BIG mother fing saves time after time after time, it's no fluke.
Mats as been absolute shit for us in the CL, the vast majority of teams that win the CL that I have seen with my own eyes, at some point in the KO stage, wether the defense is playing average, good, great, excellent, best in the world, worse in history, has had a keeper than will come up clutch a few times when needed.
He is simply not shown himself capable of that.
What did pique say again, every shot we face we concede.
To make matters worse with him compared to TEK, he brings the entire teams energy down when he concedes.
I don't get too involved in the keeper debate, because I don't want to get my hopes up, and yes we can do much worse than him.
We can also do Much Much Much better.

Let's put it this way.
Did we miss ter Stegen this season? Anyone being honest will say no.
And his replacement was an older chainsmoker who was retired and drinking beer and golfing in Marbella. Not some special player or young upcoming prodigy.
Imagine the "pressure" for next season to perform when Tek said he knows he will be backup to Stegen and be happy with it.
Should have binned this fraud in 2015 when he was pressuring club to play him regularly and we end up dropping a superior keeper in Bravo.

No one with 10+ IQ would say Valdez wasnt mistake prone. What he was, was clutch.
We wouldn't have won a CL if it was Mats were there. It's that simple.
I didnt curse Valdez then, I wouldnt curse him now. Guy showed he was clutch. And got us the glory that we deserve.
Mats is the complete opposite. We had prime messi and a team that should have been a threat in Europe, but we became the laghing stock.
Not a single clutch save or good game I have of him in UCL.
All it takes for younger guys is to watch Champions League Final 2006. Valdes was our man of the match.
He was opposite of Mats. Fearless and commanded respect from both teammates and opposition..

I'm disapointed with Tek for saying that, wtf was that? You're a professional goalkeeper with a great career, a better goalkeeper than that fraud and you just accept the bench without a fight?
