His loan at Girona turned him into a man, so to speak.

Pep, Koeman, and Xavi clearly rated him in some way, but he struggled a lot on the physical aspect and got done in easily in 1v1 duels. It seemed like at Girona he started to put the pieces together, and Flick turned him into a versatile, confident machine.

Is he World Class? nah, but he's significantly a much better player now. Even with our suicidal High line, the guy looks comfortable out there in defending and playing out the back.

He is a sub for many positions. He can do it for a game or two. That's how I see it. Not a starter. Did well enough Vs Real and Inter though. I mean what you would expect.. much better than Swiss knife Vasquez for Real. Haha 😂

Valuable player in his role. Keel him. Way more value to keep than sell to Como for few million.
