Moving goal posts..

He is literally one of most progressive passers in the team as shown.

Playing as most defensive midfielder also.
20 CM, 17 DM according to TM. I haven't moved any goalposts, I've said consistently he's average. Not bad, but not worth the money we pay him. He's paid as a star player but doesn't play like one. Contributes little, some good moments, some awful mistakes, mostly fairly solid. As an ordinary squad player I'd have no issues with him but he should contribute more for his cost, salary and stature.

He has been the more defensive midfielder for majority of season clearly.

Nah he has made huge difference since came back into team fit and helps the team to progress the ball.

See what Pedri, Flick and opposition coaches say on it this season. See what plenty of other players say.

If he is average and not important be sure to point to all the important players that underperform if Barca dont win and not the average ones that dont contribute much anyway.

I'm currently reading what Hansi says at the moment :D

"Flick was asked about De Jong ahead of Barcelona’s next game against Mallorca and admitted he wasn’t too impressed with some of his play at the weekend.

“We analyse the games, and we show them how we want to do it,” he told reporters.
“And sometimes when we have the ball, nobody thinks about losing the ball...but you have to be able to win it back when you do.
“There were situations against Celta that I didn’t like. And we showed them that.”

Fake news... he didnt mention FDJ.

Try that one again.

And dont doubt there was plays from every single player not happy with and FDJ with that huge mistake for 2nd goal was one.

Flick loves FDJ and without doubt would not agree with your claims... doesnt mean he cant have bad games/moments as all can.

As said be sure to point to all the top players have that help team win should Barca lose from here. Dont be blaming the average ones dont expect much of anyway.

Hahaha, the whole article is about him, I just posted that bit

Seriously, is this guy your father or something? Of course I know he was talking about the team, just couldn't resist :D

As I said.. he literally did not mention FDJ and said unhappy with way team defended.

I dont doubt he was unhappy with error of FDJ and the shape at back.. errors of many others also.

Way more tempo in the attacks without him. Gavi, Pedri and Olmo play football in the rhythm as it should be and then you create a lot chances. They don’t hold on the ball too long. If so they also do this to keep the attack fluent. Even if the result won’t be positive is this the way Frenkie also needs to play

Just watched Barca vs BM again. I am a pro FdJ but I now firmly believe Cassado has been a bbetter player overall all-season to date.
His vision and final passes are something else.

Frenkie is the better player and team improved once he was back in and fit.

Bernal in small samples as much as like him was behind both if compare performances.

Casado did well enough though.

He's definitely hit highs this season that de Jong as yet to hit, but he has a chance these coming games, it will define his season.

De Jong first few years, his fanboys use to only be able to talk about a great night in Napoli, casado had about 5 of those in 4 months, incredible stuff from the young man

Haha no he hasnt and he hit much lower lows.

FDJ is far better player and had far far better big games for Barca has then Casado has.

In Europe, domestically v Real and Copa finals.

Flick prefers FDJ for a reason.. Pedri loves him, Gavi does, Fermin does... can stick with them on this one.
