This will NEVER happen at Barca. If Koeman who had him as his protected pet couldn't do it, no one can.

His performances have been from awful to meh, and that's responsible for the constant decrease of value

It's a mistake that Xavi tells him that he counts on him. Should have been told that he needs to go on sporting reasons alone.

He has been close to shit week in week out.
Not entirely his fault as he is being played out of position, but his position doesn't exist at Barca.

Same with Coutinho and Griezman who were being asked to play winger position at Barca.

Both of them have been good at NT, even Coutino with Brazil as an AM has made more key passes in 1 friendly than the total of key passes for Barca in 1 year.

1) even then he was still OK, rather than exceptional or sth like that
2) we were playing 3-4-3/3-5-2 a lot back then, and it worked better for him

2 is not happening again.
Reminder: in the 4-3-3 he had been awful as a single pivot (few times), OR subpar as an interior (most times)

In context of the money spent on him and the promise that he would be the new generational talent leading Barca's MD,
