Folks wanting some rich billionaire to take over the club.

I guess this is just like those Newcastle fans celebrating when they were taken over.

More than a club?

That shit died years ago.

Football is a business. Adapt or die

Still, wanting a sugar daddy is shameful.

People talk about the likes of PSG and City with disgust while wanting their own club to be taken over just like that are beyond hypocritical.

️| The agents of Frenkie de Jong and Martin Braithwaite have left without meeting the club as they were angry and hence, declined to meet. The club is also upset.

He won't. He'll play, because no matter how some users like to act like he's mediocre he's a player capable of doing this:

This whole narrative change that he wasn't one of our best players the past few years is hilarious to watch. Hope he stays and starts every game. A midfielder with the pace to challenge Dembele's. What a treasure.

Relax, if De Jong doesn't produce world class stuff, he will be getting plenty of punishment this season. He's cornered himself in a way. OK, you will continue to be paid like the best midfielders in the world, but if you don't show that level on the field, you're a fraud.

It's sentencing time this season for him. Show us what you've got and what we've paid a lot for, no more hiding around.

I will still just give him the benefit of the doubt to see what he can do in a well elevated squad that is top 5 in Europe easily at this point.

What kind of sugar daddies do you want? Makes little difference.

The types that hire top leaders and let them do their thing while supporting them with the most basic and effective commodity: money.

Sure, not ideal, and we will lose part of what makes us special, but it's unlikely a clown like Bartomeu gets to stay in office for 5-6 fucking years while making the club collapse. And if he does, it will be the owners' fault, and they will pay up for their mistake.

Who pays up for Barto's incompetence?

Private ownership will bring direct accountability for the way the club is run if nothing else.

Like who? City? Liverpool?

You can't pick and choose your billionaire owners and if they are great and visionary, you struck gold; if they suck, you are stuck with them for life until you are sold.

Yes. But it's Barca. Whoever buys it will invest massively.

It's like buying a Bugatti Veyron. You can't sniff at paying 25k for an oil change. Nobody buys that car while not knowing what they sign up for.

I'm not 100% convinced this is the way, but also don't think that if we end up there it's gonna be a disaster. For the most purist fan, maybe, but they are the ones that elected Bartomeu the clown, so... they had control of the ship and crashed it. Can't moan too much.

Barca purists are so loyal that as soon as we had to play EL they sold their tickets to rival fans in a European quarterfinal and had us playing away on Camp Nou. Yeah... maybe some catalans take the club for granted.

You sure? When the Glazer's bought United they were a top 5 team in Europe. By 2013 they were at least in the top 3. The Glazers not only did they not invest in the club, they actually placed a 1.5billion pound debt on the club to pay off the Glazer's loans. Don't be so trusting of billionaires...
