Spain was already unlucky at the Euros and the better team. Lucho is making them play great football despite not having the big stars Spain used to have in their absolute prime.

I rate Enrique very high. He seems to get the best out of his teams. This Spain ain't that strong on paper.

This Spain midfield is set up well by Enrique. It's confusing. Basically we line up Busi - Gavi - De Jong and it's shit, and Enrique lines up Busi - Gavi - Koke, and it looks smooth as butter today.

This makes Koeman looks like a dude who has no idea about tactics really. His idea of midfield is to ask the players to make runs forward, with little to no structure to dominate the game.

The timing for when players have to offer support and show for the ball deeper, and when they have licence to make runs is spot on today in Enrique's side, and is totally shit and chaotic under Koeman.

He may have lost the locker room and the interest of the players too possibly with his "oh we're so shit, can't expect much" repetitive speech.

We miss guys like Oyarzabal and Ferran though, they were fantastic. Pep did great with the the latter, when I watched him for Valencia he looked like a classic winger, now he's cutting inside very well.

Exactly, that's why I said it's difficult to judge our individuals. When system works they could work. When you have no system everyone sucks.

Pace up top and players that can create make a huge difference to the midfield.

Spain are not taking ball into final third slowly through midfield they are passing about in middle of park waiting to gaps to open from front three and Alonso bombing on.

Ansu is very Ferran-like, only even better possibly. And Dembele will provide speed wide. I still think we'll not look anywhere as drilled in midfield. Gavi is at his first game and looks like he plays for a year in this team.

Ansu is not like Ferran and barely been fit for a year anyway.

Barca should be better than have been and should be more settled when get front players back but cant just compare like for like from this game.

This. We need to make plays way quicker.

One of the big differences is the opposite, Barcelonas midfielders are usually dropping deep, with their backs forward, meaning Busquets+defenders get less space and less options to play THROUGH the press towards a front-faced player (the attackers too have their backs against the goal, and struggle to become unmarked). Frenkie is particularly prone to drop deep and stay there, but Pedri too.

Well I suggested to get Ferran when we bought Trincao, people here told me Trincao is better.
