20 - Dani Olmo

Absolute ghost. Doesn't take up the right positions within the Inter block the way he used to and too often he was a non factor in possession.

The drawbacks of the 4321 and playing with a 10 is showing up in the last two games.

He occupies the space the opposition DM naturally occupies, so if he's having a off day or the DM is having a class game, he will be easily marked out of the game.

In situations like these, he needs to drop deeper and pull his marker with him to create space for pedri or whomever is run into.

One of the reasons I like the PSG midfield so much is there positional rotations, with our midfield everyone bar pedri more or less keeps the position they start in.

Also this is by 433 is the best formation in football and we need to get back to it ASAP.

No one is going back to 433.

Moaning about formation that has Barca winning trophies.

The last time Barca tried to play 433 it was awful under Xavi and he knew not way to go.

'Shown up in last two games'

That would be a cup final win vs Real Madrid and dominating a home game of CL semi finals let down by defence and GK while scoring 3.

We could go with Gavi in that AMC spot to have more possession and pressing.

Wouldn't be a 433 but would be closer to the pivots than the attackers.

Yea that could also work, he would more naturally pick up certain positions than olmo.

But I don't think gavi is ready to start a high intensity game yet.

Gavis knee is fine... he has said so himself and no player needs two years as is claimed.

There is no way Gavi is better AM option than Olmo he has been horrendous there this season and is not helping Barca keep possession when does.

He looked incredibly frustrated for the second game in a row. These last 2 games have been the biggest of his league career and maybe there is a feeling within himself that he is not quite ready to cut it at this lofty level.

His confidence looks gone.
