19 - Vitor Rawke

He's being loaned because he's trash.

Have to face that reality.

There's no way this guy would be loaned if he was even moderately good when his competition is a 36 year old Lewandowski, Ferran Torres the donkey and Marc Guiu.

Sorry but that's a low as the bar can get. Any decent 19 year old would be able to take advantage of such an opportunity.

Maybe that needs to change. Tbh the club signed few attacking talents at such a young age. We used to sign directly the world's best players until a while ago (it's not a coincidence that this power stopped with the rising of oil clubs in the last decade, clubs using unlimited funds) and the very young players were our own making, like Messi and to a smaller extent Pedro.

This has become necessary since the top players imply a huge cost, a cost that a club with Barca's financing model can not sustain anymore. The club has to adapt to the new reality of football scenery.

I don't see how that got something to do with loaning out players though? Top teams rarely loan out players they actually see a medium to long-term future with their club.

Usually it's a way to get rid of that player by either driving up his value at that team to sell elsewhere or hoping he's good enough for that team to sign him.

Loaning out players is also really tricky because it might look like a great move before the season starts, but suddenly that team collapses, are in a crisis and the player you loaned out is either rotting on the bench or in a dysfunctional team where the development is going south.

If Vitor Roque is loaned out then it's very likely he's ending up getting sold in 2025 or 2026 for half the fee we paid for him.

For his injury??
I am blaming him for his use last season and sending him out on loan this season

Xavi used him fine last season. He played in all but two games. Main goal was to prevent injury colapses which we managed to do. Loaning him made sense too to get more regular minutes but the main reason behind a loan was obviously offloading his high wages.

Loan to a mid-table Liga side where he's the undisputed #9 would be good for him. And also help us with the registration issue.

But at the same time we don't know how Lewy is going to decay after the summer holidays. Would rather have Roque than Ferran at #9 if Lewy is in permanent grandpa mode.

if barca coaching stuff or Xavi saw anything special in him there would be no way we would consider loaning him. you can write him off.

If those idiots in the board looked few time at this forum, club would be better runned.

There are two possible explanations:

1. They are tottaly stupid and they have positions that they don't deserve just because they are ex legeneds (Deco)

2. They are filling own pockets with famous triangle (director, play, manager) and signing players just for own benefit.

Roque looked bad even on yt videos, there are 10x better talents that we coukd get for less money.

Arda Guller first. Then this new argentinias.

It is impossible to mistake so many times, so I think they are playing own game.

I don't think so. Clubs loan out players all the time to get playing time. There aren't many no9 at 18-19 year old that play constantly at top clubs. Can't remember any. It's a difficult position to play in if you are not ready.

Barca also has this registration problem that is not common at big clubs.

It's funny how some people are blaming Xavi for not playing this guy. Why the hell would any coach deliberately undermine a player who can make a significant contribution to the team? No one is that stupid! Therefore, we need to accept the fact that Roque is either not ready to play for Barca or he is just another expensive flop. In either case he needs to go on a loan for 1 season and we'll see what happens. However, the truth is that as of now it looks like we burned another 40 mil.

Furthermore, if he is good he will succeed on a loan. For example, look at Xavi Simmons at RB. In contrast, players who are trash will be equally trashy everywhere. Last season people were blaming Xavi for not trusting Fati and look at him now at Brighton. Hence, players who sit on the bench usually sit there for a reason.

Xavi had big hopes when he came here, he said something like "he could be the key to rescue our season" in January but that Xavi rarely used him is strange, probably his intensity in training is too low? Wouldnt surprising though, he needs 1-2 seasons to adapt

Good post. Top teams don't really have the time and the patience to use a player that is not ready. This so-called teaching is an overrated concept. This is the main reason why at the big teams you rarely see 18-21 year old players play regularly, let alone 4-5 of those as the same time.

They do their early development someplace else, usually under low pressure in a calmer environment, and only make the next step to big teams if ready to contribute at the level they are required to deliver at. For this service the B clubs make big bucks in terms of transfer fees. Like with Bellingham, Haaland etc.

The position also counts. No9 and DM are probably the hardest and most complex for a young player to play while not having the level to do so. It's why you'd be hard pressed to find players of very young age that get serious minutes in a big team in either of those positions.

The main idea is that the more central the position is, the hardest it is. DM-CM area and no9 is where most of the traffic in a game happens. You're constantly surrounded by 3-4 opponents from either direction.

Exactly. As I mentioned before, PSG smartly loaned Simmons to PSV and Leipzig and the result is there. We just need to loan him to the team that plays youngsters. However, if 19y old player is reluctant to go out on a loan and would rather sit on the bench than something is very wrong with him to start with. Even if we loan him out for 2 seasons he would only be 21y old when he comes back. IMHO that should be a no-brainer for him.

Realistically, Lewy will play the majority of the games next season, so it's ideal for Roque to go on loan to a La Liga team where he'll get consistent minutes.

The situation might be the same for 25/26 season as well tbh.

To be fair it doesn't even need to be La Liga team. Maybe one year in Portugal and than one year in La Liga would be a perfect solution for him. If he is that raw, it's highly unlikely that he will be ready to start for Barca in one year time. Perhaps he needs to go step by step.
