City and PSG had their shots too being located where they are, but they never managed to become a powerhouse until billions were invested into those clubs.

Different to all the other clubs being mentioned here.

Look up what Inter and Milan did in the 50s and 60s. They're historic football institutions.

Milan were almost bankrupt and decades removed from their glory days in the 50s when Berlusconi took over the club and started pumping in money. Inter were also a shadow of their former self when Morratti took over Inter.

Both Milano clubs became the powerhouses & permanently solidified themselves among Europe's biggest clubs financially due to having sugardaddies.

Don't be naive, it gonna be a lot closer to 30 gross than 15 mil € gross in the end, I'm sure the bonuses are very easily reachable but even then I don't have a problem with this contract. It's quite low for the best player in the world, worth it.

If you think about the contract as a whole it is not too much money. It will be about 160 million for 6 years if its true that his base salary rises by 2 million per year. It will be below 200 million for 6 years of the best player in the world.
For comparison, Liverpool will pay around €250 million for Wirtz for five years (including the transfer fee), assuming a gross salary of €24 million per year. And Lamin is much better than Wirtz, with much higher marketing potential. Great from Deco. Another comparison: Messi earned €138 million gross per year between 2017 and 2021. That was a disaster.

Ballon D'or odds are correct. Dembele should be favourite regardless of the CL final.
He has better stats and PSG had a harder run to reach the CL final. I guess just reaching the final is what gives him the edge right now. Winning it would lock the Ballon for him.
