As I and others have said, he's definitely getting in the teens, he's worth around 20m, but he's not getting that due to his age.

15-18m and a 5 year contract is good, after 3 years he jumps to around 25m.

Fans won't like it, but he's going to get Messi money it close to it by the time he's in his mid 20's

The key is not to give him a contract every year like barto did.

Whatever he gets now, he's staying on for basically 4 years.

Lamine is the best player in the world. The most marketable player in the world. He's bringing the most to the club, on and off the pitch.

Even when you have great love for a club/ person/whatever, you don't want to sell yourself short, or feel like you are being taken advantage of.

If Bayern are giving Musiala 25m and are prepared to give Wirtz the same, how can we, with a straight face, deny Lamine 25m if he asks for that?

25m would still have him below Mbappe and Haaland, as he should be, since those two got inflated wages due to no, and low transfer fees, respectively.

We are not criticizing the club , it's doing its job to keep the best youngster in the world, it's more of a critique to the athletes. Barca invests a lot in the academy and is lauded the best in the world. The graduates need to show more gratitude or stop calling themselves cules and just be regular athletes/mercenaries .

Once you have 800m in the bank, a 50m player will cost 120m, and a genuine elite 100m player will cost the double if not more.

No club will pay that much anyway. I don't think Neymar's 222m record will be broken anytime soon.

When you have that money you have to stick with buy out clauses and free agents to improve the squad. Be it locally or these mid selling clubs who are now inserting favourable sales clauses like with Huijsen, Frimpong and Gyokeres.

So there is a way to navigate that Bartomeu failed at in the Summer of Coutinho-Dembele. In his defense (slightly) the market was different back then and the only suitable name with a "modest" buyout at that point Yannick Carrasco at 98m.
