A fully fit on form Olmo is good to have look at the Euros.

But Fermin is currently and for awhile now better. I think Fermin still remains the type of player that gets sold for 90m because Barca always wants the shiniest La Masia stars in the game. Which is why he might go since he was never really a big La Masia hype job

Fermin for me is a better talent than Pedro, certainly on the ball. As useful he was, the latter also benefitted from playing along side elite teammates in almost all areas of the pitch, Fermin on the other hand is having to do much of the heavy lifting on his own.

With Olmo, Barca were essentially playing with a man down. Fermin may be inconsistent but atleast he makes his presence count on the pitch (by his hustle alone). So its good to have a full XI again.

Fermin would hardly have a place on the bench for Pep's Barca, let alone start games.

Pep's Barca had likes of Tello and Cuenca starting and playing a lot. Fermin would have absolutely been a rotation option there.

Fermin is not as technically gifted as all those mentioned. Olmo has more technique as well.

But Fermin has mental edge and decent shot. Good reading abilities as well and is not lazy.

And Pedro didn't? Those were his main strenghts and he also had much better technique, dribling, tactical awerness, was much quicker, was clutch as fuck (remember the 6 finals golas)... Pedro was just a better player but it's not easy to compare because they played different positions.

I don't think Fermin would even get a chance in Pep's Barca, he's a profile that we didn't want/need back then and his position didn't exist in a standard 433.
