His inconsistency is annoying. I'm a believer but he needs to be able to string together 3 ir good performances. He is great one day, shit the next. Same with Olmo.

Still easily prefer Olmo to him in terms of talent and unlocking doors, though Fermin seems more durable and more of a fighter, which counts something I suppose.

I think Flick has different philosophy about the role of the classic AM. He already has Pedri and Frenkie as playmakers, so why not employ that role as presser/line breaker with the energy of Fermin/Gavi when teams play long balls against Barca? One frame from tonight's game in my mind is Fermin roaming the space in 4-4 line between Newcastle's defence and midfield. Is it high pressing tactic or Fermin just being headless chicken, only Flick knows.

Fact is Flick kept Fermin late into the game.

Olmo and fermin are quite different as players and that's a good thing. Combined, they make one full option / rotation. I don't think either is permanent eleven material due to fitness (olmo) and inconsistency (fermin) and I can't quite see that changing with either tbh, but gld to have that combination.

Yer Olmo more my type, others might prefer the profile of Fermin, that is fair enough.

They're both obviously far off these players, but from what i have seen Olmo is a David Silva type sort of and Fermin a very budget Lampard.
