Fermin's attacking play in transition is top class. But he could also become effective between the lines if he improved his decision-making and positional intelligence. He has the necessary tools in his locker. Just needs refining.

Olmo is a cripple and it was a disaster-class decision borne out of panic and short-sightedness to have paid that much for him.
That stated, it is more comical, having watched a Fermin for 2 years, to think he will ever reach Olmo's level.
It is near certain that if Olmo existed at La masia in 2023, he would have broken into the first team set up much earlier than Fermin did. But a drugged up Fermin Lopez would never, ever, have sniffed any first team action in 2012-2014 when Olmo had to leave Barca because he couldn't get first team action.
It is a beyond ridicloulus to even allow the thought that a Fermin is more valuabe than Olmo pass through the filter of rationality in ones head (even if the latter is currently in a broken state)
Watching Fermin struggle to control passes and with other basic requirements of the game week in week out as Barca's AM while making up with grit, clumsy fouls and headless running is an eyesore and an insult to to those that have played that role in years gone.
I understand and accept that being broke may be directly related to lowering your standards for self preservation purposes, otherwise, a Fermin is not technical enough to play the attacking midfiled role for Barca. When the club recovers financially, water will certainly find its level.

Fermin is the classic 30-40m player. Great depth. Nothing more, nothing less. No idea where the hate is coming from

Barca paid 57m+6m for Olmo. Dont know where you got your 47m from. And 57m+6m is too much money for few points in a season while being availabe for just 30% of the time, its a dumb approach fo club that is near insolvency, anyway you look at it.
On Fermin, note that a more established Merino was sold to Arsenal for 32.5m. No one will pay 30m-40m for a Fermin who is a bench option at Barca when more established players in his age range like Baena or slightly older and a team starter like Sancet are available at 40m/45m.
The fact that no one has made serious enquires for him to date attest to how he is evalauted.
Finally, dont muddle up player evaluation from a perspective to hating. They are two different things. I have nothing personal against someone earning so much and enjoying his life. I just don't estimate he is as valuable as many of you think he is. Thats no hating.
