Yup, like I said, if they expect trophies they have to invent something in the winter. If you don't, it would be absurd to expect a CL win with Martin and Cubarsi as our CBs. If they meet a top forward like Haaland he is scoring 5 goals over 2 legs at the very least

Maybe it is time to develop Kounde back into a CB now. He has been improving lately, but he isn't an elite RB and CB is his natural position after all.

Not that I have the biggest confidence into him as he wasn't impressive there either since he plays for Barça, but still a solution Flick should consider.

Maybe a change to his preferred position is the motivation he needs to get back to focus and back to his best.

He is done, unfortunately. When fit could have provided some good performances, but it was never meant to be.

Hopefully this means we opt for a defender in the winter transfer, we have had some pretty nice emergency acquisitions over the years in the middle of the season, even though winter transfers are historically bad (Davids was one who had an immediate impact, Ferran also was a winter buy)

True

Kounde will probably struggle a little bit, but we have to give it a try

Two CBs in the summer should be an absolute priority.

Christensen and Araujo should not be Barcelona players next season.

Both very injury prone while the latter also has a habit of nuking his own team and supposedly isn't mentally strong enough to survive in this environment either considering he needed a lengthy break mid-season.

I am sympathetic towards his mental health, but you should not be playing at Barcelona if you cannot handle it.

CL is absurd to expect anyways. You can't compete with teams that spend hundreds of millions per season, while we struggle to register even one player. The only focus are the spanish titles and then we take the CL game by game from the knock-out stage.

Okay, we probably have seen him playing for Barca last time.

For 8mil per season we can get great player, not a player that missed like 3 seasons since coming here.

That is really big money for someone like him.
