I don't think people quite realise just how bad our goalkeepers have been and just how detrimental that has been, especially in Europe.

The fact that people were salivating over Tek's mediocre performances says it all.

Joan has it all. Very well rounded goalkeeper who will surprise you all. Bar a few years of prime Bravo, our goalkeepers this century have been frankly pathetic. Nearly all looked like they had a game changing mistake just around the corner in them, at all times.

If Joan has the mentality for the big games, he can be one of the best goalkeepers in Barca's history ( though that is not as high a bar as it should be for the world's biggest football club. )

Okay, it's time to re-evaluate Joan Garcia. And it's no surprise that we are evaluating UP UP UP.

In the post above, I said before he played for us that he would become the best Barca goalkeeper ever. That now seems a lock to me. He will be our best ever GK fairly comfortably.

What has surprised me is just how great his handling is. We all knew he was a great shot stopper, but even this early on he has shown great handling, bravery, positioning, anticipation, decision making, commanding of his box and is great playing out from the back.

His save early on from the offside Harvey Barnes is as good as you will see and shows just how great he is one on one.

In conclusion, I honestly think he is already a Top 5 goalkeeper in the world and has all the qualities to become the best goalkeeper in the world.

No player on this team, not Lamine, not Raphinha, not Pedri, will win us more points this season than this man.

He’s an actual goalkeeper that can save semi difficult shots! I swear if someone of his level played for Barca instead of Ter Stegen since 2014, we would have won 3 CLs at least since then. Not 1.
