Second part was a joke… kinda/sorta, for a goalkeeping coach is surely involved in drilling intelligent habits into players so that they occur naturally. You know, the habit loop of cue, routine, reward…. One must wonder, was Joan running out like a headless chicken at Españyol too?

He has been our GK coach since 2012. Sadly, the GK position has also been one of the most controversialand inconsistent ones at the club under his watch. Hence why it wouldn’t hurt to question his role at the club.

Also, are you insinuating that FC Barcelona doesn’t practice nepotism? Really? Point is, just because someone has been hired long-term, it doesn’t imply that he is qualified for the role he is in. Trying to argue otherwise, ie that nepotism doesn’t exist at FC Barcelona, is the real mental gymnastics at play here.

Finally, managers don’t necessarily have a say in who stays or leaves, especially not when nepotism plays such a strong role at the club. To argue that Flick or any of his predecessors have or had that sort of power to can anyone at will is an argument I disagree with.
