Thrived last season when our attacking was much more direct, aggressive and volatile.

In our current style he has no identity.
This is next level of reactionary doom posting

Just over a month ago he led us to a victory in final vs RM and before that had fantastic performance vs Bilbao

He was never really a player who does some wonders on the pitch and makes you go wow. Just insane levels of hardwork and clutch goals and moments. Now he is a little short of goals in a few games but I'm sure that will be solved pretty soon as well

There is nothing reactionary about pointing out that over three seasons he has always looked somewhat awkward and self-concsious in a slow, tactical possession-based set-up and by the same token only truly flourished in a direct, aggressive, volatile style.

He had a strong identity last season but it relied on the team as a whole wanting to attack on the move and be bold and extreme in short bursts of action. We don't really play like that anymore. So we're back to the same issues he had under Xavi, looking sort of unsure of himself, being either too cautious or too aggressive.
