Maybe I am not clear with what I am getting at. Pedri was playing yesterday instead of who then? Say Pedri played yesterday instead of Frenkie then would you bring on frenkie before raphinha?
I am saying that in any situation where any 1 player was missing of those currently missing OR that played yesterday MINUS raphinha, now you get to pick a player that you want to have been available, would it be any other player before Raphinha?!
Would it be frenkie, knowing you can still
make mf now with pedri olmo casado garcia, fermin and having raphinha providing support fielded LW?
Or if Rashford played yesterday instead of Lamine would you pick lamine over raphinha?
Raphinha most missed yesterday me believes.

Pedri in place of Casado probably and would have stuck Fermin out on the Raph role and Olmo AM.
Bigger drop off from Pedri to Casado than would be from Raph to Fermin in those roles.

now with how game looked yesterday who is needed most?

I think in most scenarios where mf is problem and it is between raphinha or 1 other player missing it will be raphinha that will be the more impactful sub.
But for yesterday your solution for pedri over raphinha yes could also see as the viable option.

Also without Rashford playing on 9?
I am also looking at yesterday with 2nd half in mind. Casado whom you not rate was taken off early by Flick for Lewandowski. Maybe shouldve posed my premise differently.
Cause if Rashford is put on 9. Lamine is deadbrainer as almost sole creative outlet with Olmo.

Not sure what the confusion is.. there is no scenario if had to choose between Raph or Yamal its Raph no matter how many situations try to conjur up.

Yamal and Rashford out wide ahead of that every single time.
Its very simple.. Yamal ahead of Raphinha in any scenario you can dream up.
Raphinha needs yamal as yamal needs raphinha, but i give you credits here because without yamal you would not have creativity.
The problem is if you want to compete on the highest level you need yamal, raphinha and pedri all together.
Players like olmo, fermin and de jong are replaceable with each other and garcia

Nah folk love to point out if Barca dont win when likes of Pedri not there.. and ignore when he is there for example and Barca poor... see Pedris last game for that.. he was awfull away to Sparta Prague in important game for Barca and better once he went off.
There is no replacement for Frenkie that comes close. Same with Raphinha. Same with Yamal. Same with J Garcia.
Same with Pedri.
The issue is when one playing and not playing well the midfield can suffer whereas with both it is more likely one can carry other a bit if off.
