Or Pep is virtually buying every decent player to have 25 world class players and to weaken his direct league opponents, since his club is both dirty in terms of morale and filthy rich?

If reports were saying Pep didn't want him you would bring them up all the time to proof a point now you just say he wanted him for fun and to hurt Arsenal/United.

Sterling and Sané aren't exactly "high IQ" players either if Dembele isn't one. But he made them both a lot better, just like Douglas Costa worked very good for some time at Bayern.

Pep is just a great coach when it comes to that. But Dembele won't go to City and Pep won't come back to Barca so it doesn't matter anyway.

Ousmane Dembélé arrived 20 minutes before the start of today's training and he was one of the first players to show up at the Ciutat Esportiva. [gol]:p

It's popular to criticize him these days, not that I'm immune. But I wonder what happens in the summer. Right now we've got Messi, Suarez, (Couts), Dembele, Malcom, Munir, Rafinha and Denis if needed. The first three are staying, the last two on their way out. Can't say much about Malcom and Dembele. Who could buy them? Who could replace them? What type do we even need? A lot of it depends on the coach (Valverde? someone else?). Might be a busy summer if things don't change.

I think that there's possibly an agenda (possibly from within the club) against him in favor of bringing back Neymar.
IF that's the case, I think that would be a very stupid mistake.

First of all, Neymar coming back would destabilize the team a bit (i.e. Coutinho's position and Alba's game), and secondly, if he were to come back, it shouldn't be at the expense of Dembélé.
Lastly, I think that the main forward line should be without Suarez (Coutinho - Messi - Dembélé), but with Dembélé and Coutinho acting as 2 hybrid winger/strikers. That would allow Messi to drop back into midfield so as to have 4 in midfield (purpose of false nine).

All I know is that it is more than likely that EV does not trust him at all, ditching him in Roma game probably still stings to Dembele, and dropping him every time after a bad game is the worst thing you can do to a youngster.

him not hitting the empty net against roma still stings every barca fan too, you know? sure it was a long distance but a 150 million euro player HAS to make that goal (or at least make the much easier pass to the free player in the middle)

edit: actually not that far, 35 meters from a pretty good position. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZCH2TNLWRQ but he sent it flying

Also Pep can improve every player, but only the players he want. He has no time for players that don't buy into his vision and what he want. He usually is swift at getting rid of those players.

sounds almost like he is, ikd, a good manager or something. somebody with a concept. and what are we stuck with?! :valverde:

well did he go on strike twice by now? your comment seriously confused me there

Yes he did. 2015 at Rennes to get to RedBull Salzburg (failed) and later 2017 at Dortmund to get to Barca.

So its false that he striked to get to Dortmund, thats all i was saying.

Is this a joke? He barely got 5 min to play, and I don't expect him to finish a chance like that, just because its an empty net it doesn't mean shit. and I don't care how much he cost, Messi had a 10 times easier chance the last minute.
