The come back thin gis bad for the fans, but truth is 4-4 is way better than 5-0.
And Roma was probably 3rd best team in CL last season. They have been top of group against Chelsea and AM and tough opposition against every other team.
Never mind that Bayern team was far above last seasons's Barca. Pep himself was hated by Bayern fans ever since and yet their board tried to keep him.

Yeah right, 4-4 is better than 0-5, completely ignoring how this results happened.
If both games were in opposite order, winning 4-1 after losing 0-3 in the first game, the team and the manager would have been celebrated as heroes despite not qualifying for the next round. So is the 4-4 with the games in opposite order still the same for you? We are talking about the same result here, while on paper they look the same in reality they are very different.

pep fanboyism is at least understable. it's true he had world class/legendary players in abundance but he also had the most successful tenure of any manager in club football history, by time managed. big trophies (2 CL, 3 Liga, treble, european double), iconic style, iconic performances.

EV is not a bad coach and doesn't have anywhere near the same players, true (the gap is a bit smaller this season tho). he steadied us after neymar's departure and got us a league title, true. But his football is undeniably turgid and safety first. and he was also one of the chief architects of the embarrassment in CL in rome (subbing on gomes, benching dembele can't be blamed on the main players).

so, EV fanboyism is bizarre to say the least.

Zidane's Madrid dominated every opponent in 2016 and 2017 while this year they got outplayed by almost everyone apart from PSG.
Zidane's Madrid didn't dominate Roma in 2016 , got beaten by Wolfsburg once and scrapped through Man city through a own goal and was largely outplayed in final especially in second half . In 2017 Napoli gave them a tough time . Bayern got knocked out because of fucking refrees . Outplayed Atletico and Juve yes, i do agree

For you as a ffan it is more dissapoointing, not for boards who has to look at big picture. And 5-0 is worse than 4-4 no matter the way it happened. Pep has lost Bayern fans ever since for a reason.

He isn't being used to his strengths, looks lost in this formation.

His pace is getting wasted, we have a very slow build up play.
His crosses are not that great without a target man.
Jordi alba occupies his space on left. While during Neymar, Alba had to sit back.
Messi-Suarez occupy space in the middle.

I doubt even Mbappe can flourish under these circumstances.

IMO Either Dembele should play on right or Jordi alba should sit back and allow Dembele to actually play at LW.

Nice goal. Carbon copy of the goal from last season, can't remember who it was against.. Chelsea? Except from way further out. Someone will finally click and deny him the shot.
