Funny, because I was really thinking the same thing. Messi winning the treble and wanting to leave with a big stage. I am really afraid he will join Chelsea. Anto is best friends with that milf from Cesc and I am pretty sure that they are doing everything in their power to have him in London.
What's the point in joining Chelsea at this point? Messi is worshipped here and doubt he or Anto would leave sunny Barcelona for rainy London....

He'll retire here, he's that type.

Are we are actually talking about Chelsea again? God forbid Messi visits one of the best cities in the world to see one of his best buddies.

Besides he went to a casino, obviously placing bets on el classico.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this here... But if it was Messi who had a 12 goals advantage, and cr caught up to him, the praise would be all over the place. I'm not seeing it anywhere. Sad, really.

Everyone would be shitting on Messi for having a terrible start to 2015 if the roles were reversed too. For Ronaldo, it's just: He was great at the beginning of the season.

We've already been through this. Financially impossible/ridiculous for anyone to buy him.

Won't go for anything less than his buyout clause because of the elections. Can you imagine what would happen to a president that got voted in and then sold Leo and then there is the problem of his huge wages.

Overall the deal would cost about 100m a season over 5 years. And don't give me the 'Adidas will pay it' bullshit because we might be changing kit deals when our deal with Nike runs out (depending on the offer) so why would they want to pay ridiculous sums of money to buy Leo for Chelsea if they could offer us 50m as a kit deal?

Edit: Can't believe its this discussion again simply because Messi went to Harrods

He'll stay with us until 31-32, then go back to Rosario.

Thats how I see it.

Probably because goals are everything to Ronnie. It's pedestrian to just look at Leo's goal records imo.

It's also because the big spanish media are all from the capital, the catalunya theme doesn't help the country having much sympathy for barcelona and Messi..

You shouldn't bother, Flavia, it's not worth it. ;) It was mentioned here, on the forum, though (I think) and pro-Barca accounts also point it out on twitter.

That's not the important thing if you don't win trophies though. You can have a flash back at these 'bonuses' while you celebrate a successful season but other than that it's not really reassuring, at least for me.

If you want to have some fun check out Match of the Day on Facebook with their Messi post regarding hat trick. Oh the haters & "prove it in the Prem's".

I'm not a naturally violent person, but when I see the following:

''He's never proved himself in another league.''
''La Liga is crap, all Championship quality teams.''
''Look at the players around him.''

The anger I feel inside me can't be quantified.

Brainless, idiotic, stupid, fans who base opinions on stats, hear-say and in a lot of cases, FIFA (the game).

I don't see him leaving before he is 34-35, maybe even more. Messi is such an icon, that he would still have a massive contract at the age of 35, why would he leave and earn maybe 10x less at Rosario?

The last year of his career I can see him going to Rosario, not before.
