No, was fairly obvious I'm speaking about his level vs stronger opponents. At least Raphinha bagged 2 vs Madrid. Far better than anything Lamine did of this impact this season, and he played half the games.

We will see how he does in CL knockouts, in league el clasico, in CDR second leg... He can more than make up for his performances vs top teams so far, which haven't been impressive at all (bar the one vs PSG which is a little bit underrated)

I can agree with that. But Atletico was a big game, trophy on the table. And he sucked. Not too late to turn it around though. El Clasico final is a big game too just for the rivalry, he was pretty good in that, not great but still good.

Trophy on the table and cant have one good game? Cant get one goal/assist without a penalty?

We saw Raphinha last season when Yamal was out also.. it wasnt pretty.

Raphinha barely featured in any CL game in good fitness condition. He was mostly injured after Newcastle, or fresh back from injury, then injured again. Blame the club for fucking up after Oviedo injury.

He has been far worse than the games you refer to and moan about with Raphinha.

That's low for me in big games considering how often he gets the ball.

If others are fine with 1 or max 2 top class actions in a big game leading to a serious chance being created, and many more lost balls with bare minimal effort in defense most of the time, it is ok, but not me.

If I were to look at each of those games, he'd miss chances he should score or pass in also. Shots skied, selfish actions, just poor this season in bigger games. Remember when Torres is with an open net vs PSG and Yamal is selfish and tries to finish from an angle himself?

Doesn't mean he is not class, just not as good vs better opposition. And let's not forget goals. Is he just completely inept at scoring vs top teams this season? Why is this ignored? A big part of the reason he was so good last season was great goals in important moments. Barely even gets a good shot on target these days when it's not Mallorca or some average side.

Not impressed at all this season. Quite the contrary. Some of the best games we played so far this season were without him. This could be a coincidence or not.

Best away game in the league we played so far offensively was vs Betis. Best hard game was vs Newcastle away. Best overall match was Bilbao Supercup semifinal where we ripped them to pieces.

Yamal doesn't have goal or assist is more about Barca as the whole is worse than last year. Check the rating and see it yourself.

In big games? What performance against xG... he hasn't scored any goal. Let's agree to disagree, in big games for me he lacks an edge he had last season, that's all. This is about his performance, his goal threat, vs top tier teams. Quite poor. Zero goals, not many shots on target either. Yeah, he created some chances, a few big ones, but, as I said, if he didn't do at least that with the amount of actions that go through him and his number of touches in these games, he'd be straight bad.

I'm not sure why Yamal creating almost a big chance per game in "big games" is bad. Football isn't basketball. Yamal's duty isn't just take the ball and shot. He carries, progresses the play (most in Laliga), consistently takes on multiple defenders because he is the only creative outlet.

Nope. This club doesn't succumb to player power. Terrible fit for the club. Not worth the kind of money he'll cost. Salah was a brilliant goalscorer in his pomp. Yamal doesn't need Liverpool. Liverpool doesn't need him.

I'd rather sign Olise and Wharton and get a proper manager. We'd be much stronger with them.

We have a better team than Barca. They just have a way better manager. Our starting 11 is arguably the best in the world. It's just recency bias.

I thought being 18 and pubalgia were the usual excuses. Now I see that goalscoring is not his primary role.

He still is our best player, by far. But this season he has been a bit underwhelming, for various reasons.

PS: last season he overachieved IMO. So probably this is his level?
