I am a huge Lamine fan obviously but this season he is bang average ..not good on the ball and crap without the ball. He needs to do way more..

But it's true than playing with a shit fuck like Kounde must make you lose your motivation..
Lol what a rubbish take. Yamal is great on the ball mostly and also tracks back to defend (not at Raphinha's level though).

He certainly needs to improve more things but the standard people hope for is so ridiculous.

Anyway look at guys like Palmer, Nico...struggle to even play with some injuries then you must respect what Yamal is doing this season. He has same injuries yet performs at high level week in week out.

Lamine Yamal from last season is missing, and nobody really knows where he might be.

Half the season has already passed and he’s still nowhere to be seen, which makes me wonder if we’ll ever get to see him again, sadly.

Last season was his breakout season. And was exceptional.
That said, he is actually having a pretty good season. Not as good as last year, but still good enough.

I have some theories as to why -
1st - He was playing injured, and might have that in his head. Or still has a bit of discomfort.
2nd - Didn't he grow like 5-10cm in the span of half a year? I think he & and his body is still adapting to this growth.
3rd - His off the field antics had an impact. Good thing, he seems to be a bit private nowadays.

I am sure, come March high octane time, the guy will level up his form.

Watched the Real game again and I think he was fine. Raphinha and Vini were better but Lamine was definately more noticeable than Rodrigo. With better luck he could have scored from Kounde's cross or gotten an assist if Raphinha had scored from Lamine's hail mary pass just before his first goal. We would be praising him now if he those scenarios came into fruition.

After what happened last clasico I think he was extremely prepared this time around. He got a little bit physical couple of times, didn't bother to jump in joy when we scored like he usually does and left most of the unusual dribbles to minimum until the very end when he tried to dribble past Mbappe. It was good to see him being mature enough not to result into revenge insults after the game and even seemed to sort things out with Carvajal with that hug.

I think all that is promising sign for his future. We all know his skills and his football IQ but what we havent't seen yet is how a young player like him can cope when things aren't going his way all the time. To me it seems that last clasico was a wake up call for him and after that he has been improving a lot his mental game.

Also we don't know how that groin pain is still affecting him. I think it's still there, it was described to be a long lasting injury and not something that will be dealt within few weeks.

Don't know what was going on with Carvajal exchange there and we all know most Madrid players proved cunts not to give Barca a pasillo but not relevant here.

Notice how all our players show sportsmanship in guard of honor. Except one.

I always wonder why people question Yamal's motivation or if he is hungry enough to win games. I highly doubt someone like Flick or Raphinha would treat him the way they do if they saw his attitude and heart not being there.

It's pretty crazy how we are nowadays microanalyzing this teenager's every movement and word spoken like he would turning into this next problem child like Balotelli. He needs to do something far worse that he has done so far for me to open that conversation.

He can have zero respect for the opponents for all I care (like who the fuck really respects Real Madrid here?), as long as he shows respect and kindness to his teammates which he very much has been doing so far.
