I think the numbers are wrong
When i go outside i see way more kids wearing a Al Nassr Cristiano jersey than from Robert or Vini, he has to be top3. Here and there i see Messi and Lamine but not as much as CR7 🤔🤔

Just think the majority of the posters here who grew up during the age of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta etc. find social media hype farming a bit clownish. Even if some of it wasn’t meant to be directly provocative.
Yamal during his Euro run and during the early part of last season didn’t seem to indulge in this, at least not as much. And he used to drop top performances vs top teams. He isn’t at the moment , and while it’s not all his fault, social media clownery is a lot easier to tolerate when you’re winning big games and trophies.

People also need to understand that today’s generation of youth is fundamentally different from ours. Just look at your own kids, trying to keep them immune to the social-media virus is a daily struggle. They are growing up in a world where constant exposure, instant validation, and digital pressure shape their behaviour in ways we never experienced. We can guide them, support them, and set boundaries, but pretending they are living the same reality we did is simply unrealistic
