Imo these injury issues with these young players is because they are being thrown in too young and forced to play too many games. A 17 or 18 year olds body is not ready for 50 to 60 games a season. If memory serves me right Lamine had played a 100 games for Barca before he was 18. That's insane. Gavi and Fati have also been hit by persistent injuries at a very early age.
I've been ranting about this for some time now. Club was desperate so we just threw them into the mix without thinking long term.
I'm also worried about his mindset and behaviour. Seems to enjoy the party scene too much.
Club needs to get a grip and start taking control of the situation.
Flick is a pretty strict taskmaster but if a Valverde type comes in things could get messy.

Interesting. Flick criticized Lamine's off the ball work and thinks it is down to the injury he had recently, and didn't recover from. Let's hope he is right.

Sounds like the Spanish press have totally twisted that event to seem like something it is not. That Mrs Yamal is charging people for her time rather than actually being one in a number of guests of an event.

I find that somewhat disgusting and just symptomatic of how the Madrid led press treat Lamine and his family. And then they have the audacity to want him to break his back playing for the country.

That's why, if there is any fault that comes to light , I will always be prepared to give Lamine the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise we are doing the Madrid scums work for them.

Early Messi had his fair share of injury wobbles.

Forumers of the time said the exact same thing. That he was injury prone, that he will lose his speed. That he won't be able to develop and get a run of games.

Young players playing too much at a much higher intensity these days.

Messi had injuries but he was a lot more dedicated to his craft than this lad seems to be. I still see minimal improvement on his shooting or other facets of his game - still reliant on that Arjen Robben cut shot (to be fair, that is a brilliant shot but it's too predictable now).

I really value his talent but he and his entourage are not very likable unless they are producing big results for Barcelona.
