Don't think club would gamble on him missing three games though. Even when opponents are Sevilla, Girona and Olympiacos.

Think it's just a pretext (is that the right word?) so he doesnt have to go to nt games. Hansi knows that the La Fuenta guy would let him play both games so he protected him with this simple trick.
The timing of the announcement is a bit dubious. De la Fuente went on a rant about how he expected more empathy from Flick given that he was also an ex-NT manager and that its normal for football to be played with some discomfort.

My guess is that he has a pubic apophysitis (like Osgood-schlatter, but on the pubic bone instead of the knee). Suits the symptoms, De La Fuente's statements and most importantly his age. The pubic growth plate where the adductors originate are one of the last to "close" and can bother young athletes into their early twenties.
Would also explain De La Fuente's statements. Some doctors don't think it warrants any caution and that you can just play through the pain. It's tricky tho, because it is very painful and can cause trouble for years if it becomes bad, and evidence is also surging that it can cause tendinopathy in attached tendon which is another issue in itself.
Not chronic if it's the case, but can certainy persevere for a few more years if not dealt with properly.

Quite normal. De La Fuente should not get any Barcelona players except if they are in prime fitness condition.
