Watched all of Atleti game yesterday and the agression and work rate of LLorente/Simeone on that right hand side was fucking light years ahead of Kounde and Yamal tonight.

The quality of Llorente and Simeone was light years ahead of Kounde also even allowing for opposition.

Just want to remind people that he cooked Nuno twice just in the one insane dribbling at the beginning while simultaneously dealing with other players.

That was the only time he really cooked Nuno; after that, Nuno stopped him by tackling or fouling, and cooked Yamal once, before going to have 4 key passes while creating 2 clear chances.

Nuno was something else and doing everything, but lucky not to get the red.

He has won MVP in their last 2 meetings

You mean like when Yamal earned a free kick close to their box and Nuno should have been sent off? The first yellow was also because of Yamal.

Its hard to contain lamine through 90 minutes without card. Nuno is lamine kryptonite, he already showed that couple of times. He isolated him and shut him down, kinda forced him to pass back or middle where our players were getting overrun.

If anything this game showed me is that Yamal should have won BDO.

PSG would win last season even without Dembouz, we would be 3rd in the league 15 points behind Madrid and go out against first serious team in the CL without Lamine.

Lol, then where would we be without Raphinha, who had far more g/a than Yamal last season. Raphinha would probably deserve to have a higher rank than Lamine last season.

The award isn't given based on innate talent; you have to get the numbers and push your team to win the top competitions

Yamal would have to up his game this season as competition looks tougher now. I see Mbappe and Haaland pushing with incredible numbers, as does Harry Kane. There's even Olise doing crazy things for Bayern. It'll be an interesting season, and Yamal would have to do far more even to be 2nd this season

Knock, knock!
Who’s there?
Reality check.

Time to wake up kid, you are still far from the player who dominates world class defenders for 90 minutes. Short glimpses of brilliance that last for 25 minutes are not good enough to call yourself a king.

Mendes played as a winger in most of 2nd half.

I know you hate Yamal but at least don't lie much.

Though Yamal, like the entire team, was completely off after 35th minutes. In his case he just returned from injury and isn't 100% fit yet.

You know, Vitinha just returned from injury and got a great game in the second half, plus it's not like Yamal's game was bad, cause it was okay. The difference is that Mendes was just better; a similar thing happened when they faced off in the Nations League, where Mendes still got the MVP.

Mendes' assist came from a run when he was playing lb in the first half. He had 2 good runs from there in the first half

I don't have a problem with his performance yesterday. He is just an 18y old kid! However, hyping him like he is Messi or Ronaldinho in their primes doesn't do him any favor and yesterdays match showed that he still has a long way to go in order to became the player people are already claiming he is.

Issue is he is hyping himself up more than anyone else. He's a social media addict and attention seeker. Most kids are but most kids aren't carrying future hopes of the club on their shoulders.

Having idiot friends patting his back and even more idiotic father plus dating Instagram whores doesn't help.

It's just bad parenting and lack of a good male role model.

Being a bit of a narcissist isn’t a problem as long as you don’t surround yourself with yes men and go down the path of Neymar. We sure as hell know his deadbeat leech of a father won’t tell him what’s what and slap some sense into him if he keeps making bad decisions, but I do hope his agent, who has a lot experience with the biggest narcissist in footballing history, will step in and place down some guidelines, if only to make sure that money keeps flowing in.

Neymar won CL and had few great seasons before he went south. In comparison, Yamal only has one great season behind him so even Neymar comparison is unfair for now. Furthermore, as much as I don't like Neymar senior, Yamal’s dad is even a bigger moron. However, a reality check like the one he had yesterday could be good for his development.

He needs Raphinha in his game. Young with a lot of chalenges and in my mind low mentality. If the game is perfect, he's superb but when goes bad, he is't just right there. Yeah he is young, still a lot to learn, but he took No10 and thats huge! He must learn from that and need to be the engine of the team, if it goes bad, fuck it be the best of yourself, inspire yourself and the whole team. For me, Raphinha is THE ONE now, should be the captain, and Y10 should whatch and learn and be what he is.
