Yeah, some people here are just overly neurotic about everything that's happening. Give the guy a break. He's arguably the best player in the world and can turn inside out best of defenses. He didn't try to statpad at 11vs9 game. Oh, what a shame. That's part of Barcas ethos to not deliberately humiliate other teams just because they're so superior or the other team is down on their luck and Flick, even more so, seems to be maxing out on dignity. Remember how he pulled his players off the field to prevent them celebrating the title in that Espanyol match and Yamal instantly went off to not cause any trouble. I think it's the right way of conduct for a club that makes deal out of the "more than a club" credo.

Hard to believe you watched the match when Yamal was clearly desperate to score and making foolish selfish plays.

He was full of himself on the field yesterday — way too cocky for my taste. Additionally, on several occasions when he should have passed or released the ball, he went for unnecessary dribbles and lost possession multiple times and all of that against just 9 Mallorca players.

To be honest, I’m really worried that all this putting him on a pedestal might end up ruining him. He’s only 18, and yet everyone’s already treating him like the biggest star in the football world, constantly flattering him. I really hope it won’t, but all of this could ruin him. Everything happened way too fast and easy for him.

Perhaps because he is

I dont think it was either fast or easy. People often underestimate the level of determination you need through whole childhood to start for Barca at 16

I have no problems with occasional selfishness. When you are the best it is good to take some responsibility on your own and use the best of your talent. All really great footballers in history were a little selfish at times. Problem with selfishness is if you suck but keep trying all alone

Because he is. There is no player right now that can do what he is doing. Doesnt matter the age. Let him be cocky, like prime conor mcgregor said, if you truly believe and have the courage to say it out loud, words/act would manifest, especially in his case.
