That's what parenting is for. Athletes being role models by default is a retarded concept. Kids don't know this, but parents should.

Jordan promoted smoking and gambling if you speak about role models for example. Two of the worst vices.

Athletes usually make bad role models because their fame is tied to athletic ability not high intellect.

Whether it is blown out of proportion, I can’t really speak to that. I am not really worried about it. But hey, I am not a parent yet so what do I know maybe?

But for me seems a bit unfair is that people hyper focus on that omit other aspects in their assessment. He promotes alcohol abstinence, his formidable on pitch behaviour and his respectful demeanour in interviews. Was he ever caught using bad language? He never neglected schoolwork.

He’s still a kid himself. He’s going to make mistakes. Just hope he learns from them as quickly as possible.

Lamine is living his life without pretending to be a role model. One thing for certain - he is provocative and steadily becoming the prime Gen Z icon.
