10 - Lamine Yamal

Fact u bringing up this comparison in serious fashion telling of how high you rate yamal.
Or it could be because te amo barca mentioned Messi in relation to him, so malvolio was simply responding.

This boy is likely the future best player in the world, but he will never ever be on Messi's level. No harm in that but you can see he doesn't have that level of best of all time ability. Messi is a one-off (well two-off with Maradona).

Doesn't matter. In that case fact that malvolio engages it in similar fashion instead of just a string of laughing emojis is telling.
Yeah, Yamal is great that's why. Not like he's some subpar winger.

But the point is, he's still far away from Messi level. And always will be. Anyone with a clue can tell he will never be particularly close to Messi. Says more about Messi being an alien than it says anything negative about Lamine.

He might be at best the 15th-10th best player ever when he retires. I think even that might be hard to get to. Messi on the other hand is top two minimum.

It doesn't sound like a lot but it's a huge gulf. Messi has miles more talent, miles more weapons. Miles better stats too which likely won't change.

 I've said it before, Yamal is not even in top 5 teenagers ever, like many in here like to overrate him.
Wouldn't surprise me if he goes off the rails and his career fizzles out tbh. Or he fails to live up to his initial promise. And I rate him more than you do. But wouldn't surprise me at all. He's already starting to believe his own hype and displaying signs of ego and thinking he's made it. Seen this movie before.

Don't be so fucking stupid. He's brilliant but he's not Messi and if offered a billion Laporta would drive him to the destination himself. A billion would get Barca out of many financial holes, are you even aware of that?

And this is coming from someone who's only really interested in football now for a few reasons, one being Yamal.

Some of you guys have zero sense of perspective.

As Messi, Yamal will bring Barca a lot of money with fame, sponsorships and contribution to trophies alone over the years. Yamal is insanely marketable, arguably the face of football right now at 18 years old. Barca's financial holes are caused by Barto's wages + salary caps, not a lack of revenue, which will increase a lot once we are back to Camp Nou. Finances are not an issue enough to even consider selling Yamal because of them.

A one-time billion cash injection would not fix the cap because it is not sustainable revenue, which La Liga cares about.

You still don't tuen down a billion for any player. Not even Messi. And certainly not Yamal. That's almost five times Neymar's record, which on itself blows away the second-highest.

I am not familiar with how La Liga is run, and don't care either as there's a lot more important things going on in life. IIt would be amortised anyway as nobody is handing over a billion cash payment injection. That billion could definitely be put to good use regardless of what you say.

Either way, you're high if you think Barca would reject a billion euro/pound/dollar bi for Yamal if it came in in the next transfer window.

Then why are you here arguing about money without knowing how La Liga operates? I'm not saying Barca would reject a hypothetical billion, I'm saying Barca should even if an offer like that comes at some point. From a sporting perspective, you can't improve a team if you sell a talent of Yamal's calibre even with all that money because of how much better he is than others (the X factor or whatever you wanna call it).

Also, as I, malvolio and others have said, you are taking it for granted that this 18-year-old boy will just improve and improve and go on to be a legend of the gam.

He could easily fail to live up to his initial promise. EASILY. Seen it before many times. Not taking the billion is too much of a risk.

It's easy to be pessimistic and wish failure. The rest of us just want to see how far Yamal can go.
