10 - Ansu Fati

His family are just interested in the bag. That's it. If they were really interested in him developing as a player, they would have got him playing time at a lower club. They know he's not interested anymore but they need to milk the cash cow anyway.
That's not true. He would earn the same amount of money playing at any club, even an amateur one, as Barca would obviously continue to pay him. The answer is much simplier. He just likes being a Barcelona player, to train with his friends, feel important wearing the Barca badge, even on the bench. Once you have a taste of the ceiling, it's hard to let it go.

Let's hope he sees sense and wants to move somewhere. Can't believe he is only 22.

He might be content to stay with his friends in Barcelona and be part of the winning teams inner circle.

We got two years of Ansu, most feasible solution for all parties might be for him to go out on loan si o si this season, with the hope of performing well and being part of the squad next season.

Then next season, 26/27, with one year on his contract he is back in the Barcelona squad and playing for his future either here or anywhere. If he does well, then we will try to renew him or another club will try to sign him pushing up his wages. That's the only win-win he has.

But please, no more renewing contracts to amortize better over the short term and then adding to the pain ala Lenglet or getting stuck with wages still on the books like Umtiti.

The priority of this is to lower the player's wage per year, so other clubs can afford them. To have a smaller amortization is just a bonus. No one would have taken Lenglet or Umtiti, if Barca didn't extend their contracts to lower their salary per year.

I think we should take on board the timeframes. Those coincided with our financial means being on the brink and out of necessity.

We don't see teams like PSG doing it for example. Extreme example but liquidity and financial strength increases the hand.

Moving back to the Camp Nou, FFP loosening, I prefer we force the issue of the Ansu exit, even if it has to be by loan this year and not increase the length of the burden.

Same with Lewandowksi.

Flick obviously has personal bias with rags, I'd be shocked if he tried to force a transfer much less turn him into a sub otherwise.

This will be Flick's first amigo test, actually this season already was since he activated +1 so yeah next season's not looking good. I guess the best we can hope for is rags to score 28 goals all comps next season. Unfortunately he'll hamper Yamal's development.
