Now the definition of a squater.
Our huge wages are really biting the club in the ass.
Noone wants to leave for lower wages in another club.
I dont blame them, its the club (Bartomeus) fault.
RM has no problems selling their unwanted players.

If he played for Madrid he'd be fluid in Turkish by now.

He's on Laporta's contract, not everything can be Barto's fault forever.

He can stay as a third GK if he wants to, I would understand it if it's true that his ex wife and kid still live in Barcelona. Just don't play him because he the "captain", that's all.

It's normal he will want to stay and fight for the 1. He will believe he can still be it. Now if you watch the speed and agility of Steggy training at Barca and Joan training at Espanyol it is like watching Stephen Hawkins in a wheel chair racing Usain Bolt. But goalkeeping is more than that and Joan may very well end up awful for us.

We don't need to renew Woj. We need to sell Pena. So it wouldn't be the worst to just go into the season with Joan/Stegs and Kochen or Yakoob as third option playing with the B.

Come Winter Stegs may want to leave to get a World Cup spot, at that point we can tell him "No, we need him as backup now, and to enjoy the world cup from the bench."

That would be beautiful.

I agree we shouldn't renew Tek if this one really won't leave even if Tek is much better. There is no point having 3 goalkeepers on that salary.

His salary is not astronomical - about 7-8 million euros gross. There are clubs that can give him the same salary.

The problem is most likely that he is used to the city, the country. In addition, it seems that he really believes that he can win the competition with Garcia.

I'm sure he wanted to end his career at Barça and it's tough to move on as captain of the club, but I think he should start another life somewhere else.

With all the shit that happened with his wie he should leave his comfort zone and start another story. He will get a good contract at a good club.

He is not the only starting goalkeeper who switched clubs in his thirties and I believe he can grow with new circumstances and with a new goalkeeping coach.

That way he can be the starting goalkeeper for Germany too.

Flick haters in the mud. Remember many claiming Ter Stegen would be protected due to shared nationality and history at NT.
