To be honest, that man in the hole is absolutely key to make everything work tactically.

Also good sub widemen. If you look over Koemans sub history, he likes to have AML and AMR who are subbed and refreshed around the 60/70 mark. His Fullbacks do not advance much so he wants alot of work offensively and defensively from the wide players.

I have been crying for ages that team should play like that, since we cannot play 4-3-3 since 2016 anymore.

Pjanic the odd man there.
If this was Pjanic 2016 i would approve.
But, it's an old and ageing Pjanic.
If and when the squad is cleared from the expensive deadwood of the Amigos, the club (hopefully under Font) should go for a new CM there.
Aouar or someone young with his qualities is ideal for the position next to Frenkie

the LB position is a mystery.
Alba is not in Koeman's plans and rightly so.
But Firpo seems below par until now.

The Left CB will be Lenglet, the right CB will be Eric Garcia/Araujo/Pique (hopefull in that order) and the RB Semedo.

Yes LB is the biggest concern right now imo.

That's the way to play it with current squad. With Leo as striker, we lose Build-up Leo but we benefit first touch, quick reactions and top finishing. Just get the ball in the box and let the goals swoosh-in. Just thinking the number of pens he'd draw from defenders in panic mode.


Grizzi Bear should lose his goldilocks and let the fairy tale start. Crew Cut Griezz was on another level, play and confidence wise. As AM/SS, he should do better. Just slip a remote electric training necklace round his neck and give it a buzz every time he goes back into the future mode. Play him half/half with Puig.

If we had a Haaland type, would play upfront with Messi feeding the pigeons.

Griezmann is not a AM.

He looked lost playing there couple games back.

Was getting balls in area of park did not know how to position himself and looked uncomfortable.

Massively different role to second striker in a team playing on break to playing as AM in possession.

He was amazing for France playing at that position in the world Cup.

Pique is not in the exit list for Koeman but Suarez, Alba, and Busquets are. Koeman wishes to speak to them in a few days to tell them that they aren't in his plans. It's complicated because their environments say that they don't want to leave.
