Finished second in the group. 3 of 5 second placed teams go through.

One team had 13 points, one team 9 points, three had 10 points:
Tractor (not a Ligue 1 team) had +3 GD.
Al-Hilal had +2
Xavi's Al Sadd also had +2, but had scored 2 fewer goals than Al-Hilal.

Safe to say they were very close.
No other Qatari team qualified.

Last year they also finished second but qualified as the only Qatari team, with 9 points.
Seems like their league is far from strongest in Asia.

You really can't take his Qatar experience seriously.

The expectations are going to be enormous for him, odds say he probably will end up like Arteta rather than Pep

With Barca being such a roller coaster he probably doesn't want to take on a new 2-3 year project.
And I don't think any (of the bigger) teams will want to hire him knowing he'll want the Barca clause so he can leave whenever he wants.

So he's just decided to chill in Qatar until Barca call him. Disappointed in him tbh. Although in retrospect he wasn't ever leaving until the Qatar WC given his significance to Qatari football.

Meh dude should go to european club and prove himself. Imagine if he turns to be another henry or pirlo :stv172:..... Would be also good for him to collect some experiences before coming to a big club.

Please come back and kick Pique, Roberto and Busi out of the team!

It should be Laporta and Alemany's job to clear out the squad.

Laporta and Txiki started a revolution in 2003, and then in 2008.

Time for another one, although this one will be much tougher.
