Yes, I already know LL right now is easier to win than EPL...but beating RM is always worth a feather in the cap.

The energy and hunger of young players is very underestimated when assessing Xavi or any manager for that matter. Gavi,Pedri, new guys Raphinha and Lewa, Balde, Araujo, Christiansen, Kounde.. all are either young or just came here and have something to prove.

So Xavi does have that boost. What I am hoping to see more is him developing style of play and learning from mistakes. It took him too long to tweak to 2 pivots tbh.

Also, he had one big decision on the market and he blew it on his homeboy, the rotten Ferret.

Ferran at the time was a value proposition. Young, Decent looking player, EPL and LaLiga adapted. Favourable payment terms by City.

Started alright too even if his all around game wasn't there. 7 goals 6 assists in his half a season. Coming against Real Madrid, Atleti, Napoli, Bilbao and Sociedad.

Only mistake was judging Julian Alvarez not by his ability but by where he was playing. Would have done the same job or more in hindsight.

But imagine last season going for Adama, Auba, Julian Alvarez and Dani Alves in the winter market. Very risky to turn things around considering the biggest success Aubameyang was a huge risk performance wise at that point in time.
