this team looks too much chaotic for current messi, looks a disaster move for both parties dawg

Same problem as with Barca. PSG is not a team but bunch of inviduals, meaning Messis weaknesses will show fairly well.

Too much me me me in this team.

It can work with few players but damn, this whole team is spoiled.

He needs to go back to a more traditional RW role for the good of the team. There's really no excuse for him to be a walking #10 anymore. At Barca, you could argue that maybe he had to play like that because he had too much of the offensive burden and he had to conserve energy to be at his best in every match. At PSG, he can rest in a lot of the domestic games and he has two world class attackers alongside him. Maybe his stats would suffer, but he and the team should perform much better with him back at RW. He also has Hakimi to link up with on that side as well.

He doesn't want to play that role anymore and hasn't for a very long time

Do you think he's still capable of playing in that role? He lost some pace, in fact, I think he's a fine bit slower than before. Those first few quick steps aren't there anymore. And that's been the case for a few years. Poch needs to find a way to give Messi a role similar to the one he had at Barca, albeit some more effort on the defensive end would be valued. That's what he does best. Pretty sure he'll have a fine season.

What? He wasn't rested lmfao he was benched after a fight at training and we even lost the game and Enrique didn't bring Messi on

And after Lucho benched Messi and Neymar, the news broke that unless he wins the next 2-3 matches, he is sacked.

Was it against Sociedad in the next round which could have been his last match?

Nobody could have benched our superstars.

No wonder that we had to hire EVs, Setiens and similar.
Coaches who won't fight with our amigos but play them and hope for the best.

Sad to see him in that trainwreck of a team (albeit a much less of a trainwreck than Barca!)

Their defending and midfield is just comical.

Liverpool/Bayern/Chelsea/City and even probably Real Madrid would exploit the hell outta that!

Messi needs to understand realize that he isn't playing for Barcelona anymore and he can no longer do what he wants. Child like behavior.

It's very disrespectful to the manager.

Unfortunately most people do not want to see that side of the story. Like children, if you spoil them they grow to be come egoistic brats

They called Messi finished after 5 games last year. Now they?re calling him finished after ONE debut game despite scoring a hat-trick just a week ago. Lmao.

He just won Copa America two months ago and is the Ballon d?Or favourite.

Both sides were in the wrong on this one.

Messi for reacting like he did. Could have shaked Pochettino's hand and talked with him after the match.

Pochettino, for subbing off his top player. Can't bring Messi to the club, give him special status(through special clauses and biggest salary) and then taking him off in a game he wasn't worse than the other attackers(he was arguably the best PSG player in the first half). Of course a frustrated Messi(as he didn't score) will react like that.

No excusing Messi’s behaviour really. Silly and immature of him.

On the face of it Poch shouldn’t have subbed him considering the form of all the attackers out there but at the same time they went on to win the game. What’s more important? Messi being happier for the next few hours or 3 points compared to 1?

I’d be fuming seeing any player do that for Barca

I agree but he is the GOAT and he needs to behave like one. He is a 34y old man and not some spoiled kid. While I can understand Haaland or Mbappe acting a bit cocky as they are still very young I honestly can't understand his behavior yesterday.

He is probably playing the last two seasons of his career and he came to the new club. This club is NOT his home like Barca was and he needs to adapt to that. Furthermore, if he continues with this diva behavior this adventure won't end well. As of now he needs to start scoring and performing on his usual level or he might turn the entire locker room against himself. The ultimate goal should be to win another CL with PSG and for that the entire team needs to function like one.
