Barcelona's renewal offer to Dembele in December was 7.5M fixed + 3.5M in bonuses. The recent offer is only 6M fixed + 1.5M bonuses. There is also NO commission for Moussa Sissoko in Barcelona's new offer. Barca are confident that it will be completed.
I'm loving this. The club putting him and his rat of an agent in their place. Considering his injury record, he's lucky he's not getting a pay-as-you-play contract. At least he'd have motivation to stay fit, like he did in the last 6 months, when he was hoping for some other club to offer him a big fat contract.
And hopefully it's no more than a 3 year deal, maybe even just a 2 year deal, and also sell him next summer, if he doesn't stay fit and perform this upcoming season. Especially with players like Salah and Gnabry possibly be available on free transfers. And if he does indeed stay fit and perform like he did in the last 6 months, the extension will be worth the money anyway.
Will be interesting to see if this debacle is finally the straw that brakes the camel's back and Dembele actually fires Sissoko. Doubt it, since they're family...and it is Dumbele after all.
