On my bracket I have ARG crashing out at group just to keep disappointment low. Anything better than groups would be a bonus.

I think CR performance means that he will have to do much, much better (influential) than Messi on WC stage to even be considered at this point. With Salah out of the running, Messi needs to carry ARG with some Messi-esque performances past groups and it's a lock...

See I can somewhat subscribe to the entertaining factor. La Liga has better mid level teams, but I've always found mid level EPL matches more entertaining for fanfare for some reason. Bundesliga has that same feel.
