I think it remains to be seen who deserves to be a starter between those three: Fati, Torres and Abde. With Abde you sort of know what you get. A head down player, someone who will make wrong decisions but who will also, through persistence and--granted--pretty special dribbling ability...

There certainly is something dubious about the hype. He's scored a few goals this year but most of those match performance videos look like fail compilations. Hoping to be proved wrong but so far I can't see anything that indicates top Europe let alone Barca-level talent.

He looks way more like Gabigol who was more hyped than Jesus around that time and flopped at Inter

In most of these there is nothing that excites me. He seems strong and aggressive in the box but that's about it. I get that he's young and needing of refinement but there still needs to be something to work with.

He's redolent of Suarez in that he seems to get goals without his overall play seeming very productive and often amateurish. But Suarez was also afforded a frankly extraordinary degree of patience and tolerance when he fucked up. He had those priveleges because we knew his top level was immense...

He looks really fucking good to me for an 18 y/o. The kind of aggressive technical quick witted play we lack.

Thought a while about this: has he ever had a decisive individual creative action in a big game for us? He scored that against Chelsea I remember but that was just a good finish. Has he ever changed a big game on his own for us?

Looks kinda amateurish in several sequences of the Sao Paolo video. To me he looks too slow and imprecise in his play for European football. Would love to have me mind changed but I don't understand this signing.

I think we match the level of our players sort of. We don't have a single player who can do something individually great on a reliable basis and so naturally some games of the season are going to end up like this. What do you expect from these players honestly? We have some interesting talent...

Played well. Love how everything he does manifests responsibility. Should NOT take set pieces though, these slow ass chipped crosses.
