Ehh you're looking too deeply into it. The wages are amazing, he gets to play in sunny Barcelona (arguably the best climate in the world), and he gets to be on the pitch with Messi. These things are more than enough for him, regardless of the trophy haul or how good of a fit he is.

I would argue tennis is the only sport where you can make GOAT arguments purely on amount of trophies (Grand slams in this case). It's an individual sport, there's not many excuses you can make for a player underperforming (there's other players, his team didn't play well, bad tactics, etc.)...

Getting a world class coach with a trophy cabinet won't happen until every single senior is gone. No coach wants to deal with players that have a ton of power. It's difficult to motivate the squad and very difficult to incorporate your own vision into the squad if the players are not 100 %...

Griez is done, terrible fit for this team. I'm sure he will still do very well at a team like Atletico Madrid, but he is just a horrible fit here. His entire skillset does not match what we need from an attacker.

@BBZ while i agree with you generally, in no sport would the other players yell at the best player on the team. Just the way things work in sports and even in companies. If any players dares to yell at Lebron they would probably be traded the next season.

First 20 mins were very shaky but he did very well after. Just needs to be aware of his positioning more. He can't be pushing up when another team is clearly trying to counter attack.

At this point i would start one of Pedri or Trincao over Griez. He's too much of a liability in attack. Sure he tracks back and makes tackles but it's goals/attacking threat that we need. Hopefully RK benches him.

There is no other option simply because he can create magic that can lead to a goal, or score himself, out of nowhere. This is too valuable for any team to have. I mean really the only way to decrease his influence is to not play him. Even then, how confident are you that Fati, Cou, and Griez...
