If that back 3 includes Balde, it's gonna be an issue, Balde is okay as a Defender, but he isn't a natural defender that can play a back 3. That's killing everything he does well.

Christensen stepping up won't work, that will kill what Balde does best, pep doesn't uses FBs in his system the way we use Balde, when he does play walker, the role stone play changes. Best to just sacrifice de jong as DM if that's the case, suits what he's trying to do better

De jong only excels in one position & in one setup, playing him as a DM, worst yet alone DM is just asking for trouble against a top team. But since we'll most likely still play a Double pivot, gundogan next to him might make it a lot better
