    Hans-Dieter Flick

During the Messi/CR7 era, la liga clubs learned the hard way how to slow the game down, being defensively astute, using every trick in the book for that. La liga for years had the lowest actual minutes played in top 5 leagues. Real actually learned that trick too when they played Barca, and it...

    10 - Lamine Yamal

I mean, most talented attackers has those traits. We were a bit spoiled with Messi and Suarez.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

23 goals this season (3 penalties) and leading scorer in both Liga and CL. He is doing fine tbh, not many good no9 press in the world atm, and most of those who does aren't anywhere near his scoring ability. He is who he is at this age, a goal scorer. He scores it is all good, he doesn't then...

    3 - Alejandro Balde

He had a tough test with that Duranville kid. Although the later is at his "all bark and no bite" development stage as he rarely score or assist yet. So, there was that. His offense atm is worse than Kounde, which is a big problem for us.

    5 - Pau Cubarsí

It was a bad game from him tbh, understandable due to age but it also shows why more experienced CB are needed.

    Barca Transfers and Rumors

Striker is needed, but not the priority. We need to address depth before anything. Defense is lite, so is attack. Get a new LB, RB, RW/LW and then look at striker. Maybe someone like J.David on free agent although he looks so mediocre to me.

    21 - Frenkie de Jong

That ball loss in front of penalty area was his worst play and frustrated af, otherwise it wasn't a bad show from him considering how the game turned into full chaos mode by the time he entered.

Nah. This club supports it's former players a lot, even if they are not true legends of the club. Coaching, SD, agents etc, we like to build a network around those in various capacities. Being a former player on a good term is important. A legacy here isn't about being a legend or historical...

    Gareth Bale

Nah, that is the Barca fan in you. CR7 was a worthy rival of Messi, a real rival. For me if you underrate him like this you actually underrate Messi because CR7 was a big part of the story (and anyone who thinks Messi didn't see him as rival is delusional btw). Messi won the rivalry in an...

    Gareth Bale

Messi and CR7 has separated themselves from the rest of their generations tbh, I doubt any of them would really say that. Even the Neymar/Suarez or Lewa of the world knows that they can't compete with them

    Nico Williams

He is one of those who says too much but it hits from time to time. So you can't dismiss news from him as pure bs, but can't consider him reliable

    Vitor Roque

Man, why do I feel like you are a classic ageist? You only complain about older players, and when they leave it is the next older player. Players aren't going to retire at 32 mate.

    Vitor Roque

Honestly, what is the big fuss? He asked for a deserved penalty to be called in the heat of the game. If anything it shows competitiveness. He had every right to do it, he is a Betis player in this game and should act like one. When else did he act like Vini? He was playing like his usual...

    Hans-Dieter Flick

I think this is an element that few would complain about. But Serghei said control in opposite to direct and risky way to attack that Flick added, so I doubt that's what he wants
  16. khaled_a_d

    Hans-Dieter Flick

How do you define controled? The team average the highest possession per game in Liga since 19/20 season, so surely not controling the ball. You want a safer approach and lesser risks? But that's what made us a consistently declining team for the past decade. Football now is about quickness...

    Hans-Dieter Flick

He needs to adapt to his team, rather than the league. We can't make the league identifies who we are, that was our problem in the past. You yourself talk about how Pep with "Barca DNA" dominated EPL. Flick gamestyle needed attacking fullbacks, currently we have none. The suicidal attacking...

    Hans-Dieter Flick

He has improved in the air, but it us a team effort. This isn't a complaint about Cubarsi but about the entire defense lacking the towering presence and aerial threat.
  19. khaled_a_d

    Hans-Dieter Flick

How about all of those? Teams has figured ways to slow us down, something that Liga has experience doing since the Messi & CR7 era. Weren't liga consistently the slowest league in top 5 leagues and one with least actual minutes played? Fatigue is real due to lack of depth. We have no bench...

Mingueza is a no brainer tbh, unless there is some hidden gem that our scouts know about he fits our needs and budget
