It's a lack of confidence. The 'one season wonder' talk has got to him and he's always trying to force it. It's often happens the season after a breakout season. I still think he will be a top PL striker, but not the world-beater than people rushed to assume.

It's been a very weak group. Once we won away in Switzerland in the first couple of games we were basically qualified. The results don't say much if anything about how well we could do in the actual tournament. I don't expect anything special.

I think the potential is there, he's a great striker of the ball, he's just able to find space or impose himself. That could be as much to do with LvG's rigid attacking system as anything else though I suppose.

In the league at least I don't think he's looked like the star we were promised. He's playing at an Oxlade-Chamberlain level at best. Probably Overshadowed by Redmond even.

Finishing second is more impressive than winning one of the cups. Small teams do that all the time.

He's played all across the three in a 4-2-3-1. He actually has some games where he's been poor for the most part, lots of misplaced passes, then all of a sudden he does something magic.
